We are looking for a new full time Team Leader for our Sheridans Cheesemongers counter in Dunnes Stores, Beacon Court : someone that loves cheese and who recognises the connection between the food producers and those who'll be consuming it. This involves telling stories, tasting the food, sharing knowledge and experience. Working for Sheridans Cheesemongers is an opportunity to gain skills and develop a deep knowledge of Irish and European food production and culture. This will be achieved through our own in-house training as well as practical experience. The right candidate will have a passion for food and a willingness to learn. They must enjoy conversation and cheese puns and will understand the importance of working with and promoting artisan food producers .

JOB TITLE : Team Leader

1. Purpose and Scope of Position

The Team Leader takes ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Counter. They are responsible for guiding individuals and leading the team to achieve objectives.

The Team Leader is responsible for maximising sales, managing stock levels, merchandising and directing the team to ensure the delivery of the highest possible standards of customer service.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Managing and directing the team (cheesemongers); allocating tasks, managing breaks, monitoring standards of work, training new team members, rostering using dedicated software
• Help foster a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale
• Follow and comply with established procedures for HACCP, cleaning routines, food safety and workplace safety; Ensuring all areas are kept extremely clean and tidy
• Maintain appropriate levels of stock, placing orders, processing deliveries, dealing with queries from Sales and Warehouse
• Supervising promotions, tastings, supplier visits
• Serving customers : dealing with customer queries, complaints, returns, special requests.
• Model and deliver exceptional standards of customer service
• Quality control : assisting in dealing with quality issues, handling Supplier Feedback process, communicating with Sales and Warehouse regarding quality and food safety issues
• Collaborating with the Retail Management team and other Team Leaders on day-to-day matters and strategic projects
• Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with host store management team
• Ad hoc duties as required, necessary to fulfil the role and needs of the business effectively
