Title : Freight Sales ExecutiveLocation : Dublin 24Terms : Full-time permanent, hybridPackage : €40-70k+ Bonus + CarDublin 24-based freight forwarder now seeks a Freight Sales Executive with recent local market experience selling parcel, forward or logistics services.

You will focus on developing new customer relationships and maintaining and growing customers according to company policies.

Responsibilities & Duties : Play a leading role in the production of accurately costed solutions in accordance with company procedures and policiesDevelop the network, goals and objectives in line with sales strategyIncrease market share in existing markets and maximize new business development opportunitiesDelivering sales by developing relationships with customers – new and existingEnsure that customers are satisfied with the service level and feedback to operationsIdentify business opportunities in target markets.Develop strategies and tactics to achieve the turnover and gross margin objectives set in your annual target.Ensure up-to-date reporting to the commercial team on pipeline activity and call report activityPropose to General Management corrective plans where necessaryDevelop relationships with potential customers, shipping and airlines with a view to creating and growing prospects, securing new work and gaining repeat business in freight forwardingBuild relationships with importers and exportersDevelop a robust understanding of the current ocean-going, air and road transport marketsDevelop an understanding of the customers' buying strategy and approach, including why they buy ex-work, FOB, etcRepresent the company, present proposals and lead project teams associated with business developmentMaintain a network of potential customer contractsResearch, identify and develop good, close contacts with relevant decision makers in target companies capable of becoming freight forwarding accountsDevelop a strong 'pipeline' of business opportunities and prospectsUnderstand and work to margin expectations for this area of business and to complete quotations accordinglyMinimum Requirements : Minimum of 2 years recent sales experience selling parcel, freight forwarding or logistics solutions within the local market.Proven track record in winning business (strong closing experience).Experience in formulating innovative solutions incorporating accurately costed proposalsProficient prospecting and qualifying leads formulating proposals from enquiry to final presentationsExcellent selling, representation and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationGood presentation skillsStrong process, project management and coordination abilitiesSelf-disciplined approach in workComfortable working as part of a team or on own initiativeComfortable operating at board levelTakes ownership and initiativeHas intrinsic focus and determination to convert opportunities into business winsTrained in sales techniquesPC literate especially spreadsheets and presentation packagesFully fluent in the English languageFull clean driving licenceFor a confidential discussion on this or any other current opportunity, please contact Garvan Cerasi IAC-Jul25
