Location : Dublin or Castlebar, Ireland (Hybrid)

Full-time | €65,000 - €75,000 + Excellent Benefits

A leading renewable energy consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join their Consenting & Environment team in Ireland. With over two decades of success in both onshore and offshore renewables, this organisation supports sustainable energy projects across the UK, Ireland, and internationally.

This is a key leadership role offering the chance to shape major renewable developments, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the strategic growth of a fast-paced, values-driven business.

What you'll do :

Lead consenting and environmental services for wind, solar, and battery storage projects
Manage EIAs, stakeholder engagement, and environmental assessments
Act as a trusted advisor on planning and regulatory processes
Collaborate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders
Support business development and line-manage junior consultants

What we're looking for :

10+ years' experience in environmental consultancy, planning, or renewable energy

Degree in environmental science, planning, or similar (Master's or chartership a plus)

Strong knowledge of Irish planning and environmental legislation

Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary projects and mentor teams.
