Accounts Payable Team Lead

Your new company

This well-known multinational company operate on a "local" basis, with many offices spanning the EU. Their Irish office is based in West Dublin, close to Luas Line and easily accessible from Kildare, Dublin and the surrounds. They are seeking an experienced AP Team lead or senior AP specialist to join them to cover an initial maternity contract. There is room for potential permanency upon completion of the contract as the group foresees growth in the coming months.

Your new role

You will be tasked with duties such as

• The Accounts Payable function for Irish and NI entities
• Processing invoices
• Reconciliations of vendor statements
• Management of credit card and cash expenses and bookings
• Processing PO and non-PO invoices
• 3-Way matching and coding invoices
• Perform regular payment runs, taking ownership of this process
• Assisting the team with queries relating to AP and addressing escalated issues or discrepancies
• New supplier set up
• Accurate and data-driven reporting and analysis of all AP functions
• VAT reporting and more
• Assist with process improvement and identifying opportunities to streamline processes. What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must have 5+ years' experience working in a busy AP team, with ideally 1-2+ years' experience delegating or overseeing the AP function. Knowledge of ERP system SAP an advantage. This role is a maternity cover contract, so those applying should be in a position to commence a new role in June, as there is an urgent start date. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and enjoy working as part of a team.
