Job description

Flexsource are currently recruiting Hardware Repair Technician for our client based in North Dublin. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking to expand experience in electronic hardware device assembly, servicing and manufacture.

AVAILABLE WORKING HOURS :

  • Day shift : Mon - Thu 6 : 45 AM to 14 : 45 PM, Fri 6 : 45 AM to 13 : 45 PM
  • Evening shift : Mon - Thu 15 : 15 PM to 23 : 15 PM, Fri 14 : 15 PM to 21 : 15 PM
  • Night shift : Mon - Thu 23 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM, Fri 21 : 00 PM to 4 : 00 AM

JOB SUMMARY :

Perform troubleshooting / diagnostics and associated repairs of failed server components (e.g. SSD, Annapurna, Memory DIMMs, Motherboards, CPUs).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Adheres to all safety and health rules
  • Complies with and follows all procedures
  • Preforms analyses of failure data / test scripts received from failed units
  • Participates in testing of failed components
  • Accurately identifies failed components using supplied hardware and software
  • Completes documentation of all actions taken and keeps records of repairs and fixes
  • Troubleshooting failed server components
  • Other ad hoc duties may be assigned

    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Intermediate knowledge of excel
  • Understanding of server hardware (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of Linux Operating System. (advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of shell scripting (advantageous)
  • Basic understanding of various test tools
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the Process Control Plans (advantageous)
  • Basic knowledge and understanding how to process Failure Mode Effective Analysis (advantageous)
  • Ability to understand and utilize assembly documentation
  • Basic understanding of overall ticket management process and functionality
  • Ability to manage deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • BS degree in Electronics (S / W elective) / Mechatronics / Computer Programming / science or related discipline (May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements).
  • 1-2 years’ experience working as Technician, or a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills / Linux
