We are looking for a Expert Partners - Business Unit Manager in Athgarvan Road, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Newbridge W12W951 IRL. Your mission will be to :
Mérieux NutriSciences are expanding our portfolio of services by launching our Expert Partner division in Ireland offering consultancy, training and auditing services for Food Safety, Quality, Sustainability, and Regulatory Compliance ('EP Services'). We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Business Unit Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, expanding client relationships, and supporting the growth of our services. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on sales experience, and in-depth knowledge of the food testing and regulatory compliance landscape.
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager to develop our offerings for EP services in the Irish market, creating new opportunities, partnerships, and strategies for long- term growth
- Identify and categorize different market segments, market trends and competitors landscape
- Plan and implement a sustainable working strategy to drive top and bottom-line P&L growth in line with EP business objectives
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities
- Identify relevant tenders for EP services and lead their preparation and submission, coordinating input from internal teams and ensuring compliance with client specifications across local, global, and government accounts, within the Irish market
- Work with cross-functional teams to create scalable processes and frameworks for future team growth
- Adhere to demanding yet attainable annual performance targets
- Liaise with counterparts in the European and global teams on global account management, expert services and potential new customer offerings
- This role will require hands on lead generation and business development until such time when we expand the sales team with business growth
YOUR PROFILE
Minimum of 5 years’ experience at senior management level within Business Development and / or Sales, preferably within the food consultancy, auditing, or laboratory testing industriesA minimum of a bachelors degree in food technology, food science or related disciplineProven experience in business development, sales, or account managementStrong commercial awareness and business acumen is essentialExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple interphasesEntrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach to problem-solvingIT proficiency in Microsoft Office for report creation and KPI managementLIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) knowledge is an advantageOutstanding communication and presentation skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiateWHY JOIN US?
