Responsibilities :

  • Produce high quality engineering design for a broad range of projects in the water and wastewater sectors
  • Programming of all work deliverables
  • Communication with client daily
  • Undertaking site surveys in the South East region on a regular basis (2 / 3 days per week)
  • Management of sub-consultants.
  • Carry out work in accordance with company ISO 9001 procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of planning, tender and construction documents

  • Requirements

    Requirements of the Project Manager

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years in a Project Manager role within civil construction works.
  • Education : Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Microsoft Project is beneficial.
  • Attributes : Strong interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills.A driven, self-motivated attitude with the confidence to work independently.Team-focused, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels, including external consultants and clients.
  • Other Requirements : A valid driver’s license.
  • Duties of the Project Manager

  • Project Scheduling : Develop overall job schedules with the project team, ensuring milestones are met.Forward-plan for the procurement of resources in advance of job requirements.
  • Production and Cost Monitoring : Ensure daily production activities align with cost expectations.Investigate and address any variances between actual and planned costs.
  • Construction Oversight : Determine and ensure correct construction methods, materials, and quality standards.Review and validate drawing plans, construction methods, and associated procedures.
  • Health & Safety Leadership : Lead the project team in developing and implementing a comprehensive site safety manual.
  • Team Management : Manage the site project and labor teams to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Resource Coordination : Oversee the timely delivery of materials, plant, and equipment.
  • Quality Assurance : Develop, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and other quality assurance documentation.
  • Financial Management : Prepare monthly project reports, detailed cost plans, and summaries.Budget and forecast costs to project completion.Manage receipting through accounting software.
  • Contract Management : Oversee contractual obligations, ensuring compliance and effective delivery.
