Role SummaryWe seek a junior- to mid-level data scientist to join our collaborative team of analysts.
Your main task will be developing methodologies using Ookla's rich data sets to describe internet performance, helping consumers, service providers, manufacturers, and regulators make informed decisions.
This role requires a solid understanding of networking technologies, inferential statistics, and data programming.

Expectations for SuccessLead development of new measurements, KPIs, and models for internet quality of service and experience.Develop statistical testing approaches for measurements and KPIs.Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to turn methodologies into data products.Create methods for anomaly detection and ensure data quality and integrity.Support licensing, sales, presales, and industry analysis efforts.Maintain Ookla's credibility by ensuring quality and consistency across products and outputs.Create tools, documentation, and processes for reproducible reporting and self-service.Stay updated with the latest in data science and tooling.Mentor and support team members.Minimum RequirementsWe value experience and mindset over a strict list of qualifications.
