A modern, well-equipped small animal practice in Galway is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its experienced, supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to work in both referral and first-opinion care , with strong emphasis on clinical development , teamwork , and work-life balance .

This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced nurse looking to thrive in a forward-thinking, client-focused environment.

The Role

Schedule : 40 hours / week, Monday to Friday

Weekend Rota : 1 in 4 Saturdays

No Out-of-Hours : No OOH or on-call responsibilities

Start Date : July 2025

The position offers hands-on involvement in a wide range of clinical areas, including anaesthesia, inpatient care, diagnostics, surgical assistance , and referral cases such as orthopaedics, internal medicine , and advanced dentistry .

Key Benefits

Salary : From 30,000 (commensurate with experience)

CPD : 600 allowance + 3 paid CPD days annually

Professional Fees : Full payment of VCI and VDS

Further Training : Funding available for Certificates, Diplomas, and PhDs

Requirements

Registration : Must be a qualified Veterinary Nurse eligible to register with the Veterinary Council of Ireland

Experience : All levels welcome new graduates receive full mentorship and support

Skills : Strong communication, a collaborative mindset, and passion for high-quality nursing care

Flexibility : A drivers license is required for occasional travel between sites

Dedicated orthopaedic theatre , dental suite , and in-house laboratory
