Job description

Talbot Hotel Carlow, part of the Talbot Collection is currently recruiting for an experienced Night Porter to join our team.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a passion for customer service.

This is a part-time position which entail the successful candidate to work from 11.00pm to 7.30am.

Main Duties : .

  • General Supervision of the hotel
  • Check in and check out guests
  • Cleaning duties - public areas
  • General porter duties
  • Meeting / function room set up

Requirements :

  • 2 years previous experience as a night porter within a 3 / 4
  • property.
  • Previous experience working with a front office system is desirable for check-ins and check-outs.
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fire safety and health and safety regulations relevant to the role.
  • Must have strong people skills
  • Must have strong communications skills
