Business Intelligence Engineer, Long Term PlanningThe Supply Chain, Transportation Planning & Operational Excellence (EU STEP) is a team responsible for the end-to-end flow of goods from our vendors and sellers to Amazon customers all over Europe, in order to ensure a speedy and reliable customer delivery in the cheapest way possible.
The STEP organization is all about network design and tactical execution as well as cost and performance management of the full network, including long-term strategic planning and transportation contracts on a global platform.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will enable the creation of products that drive ever-greater automation, scale-ability and optimization of every aspect of transportation, lowering cost and delivering speed of execution for our customers.
You will also identify opportunities and implement changes to improve network's performance, simplify processes, and leverage existing resources.
As part of your responsibilities, you will help the design and implementation of state-of-the-art solution in transportation planning and network design, ensuring that end to end transportation strategies are streamlined and optimized.
The impact of your work will be in the Amazon EU global network.
Key job responsibilities
Deliver artifacts that set the standard in your organization for business intelligence excellence, from designs to data models to implementations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with forecasting and statistical analysis
and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
