About the Function : Our Sales team builds relationships, connects with customers to sell our brands in vibrant markets worldwide.
They operate across different channels and areas of expertise, using consumer insight and digital platforms to reach new customers and markets.
Purpose of the Role The Head of Spirits Culture & Advocacy will lead Diageo Ireland's transformation of On-trade influence and bartender engagement, focusing on community building, cultural shaping, and ensuring our portfolio is loved.
You will act as the cultural heart of our On-trade strategy, designing memorable moments, nurturing talent, and making Diageo the bartender's first choice in key cities.
Experience / skills required High-level spirits knowledge Proven brand development and activation experience Minimum 5 years experience within the On-Trade with relevant alcohol / non-alcohol brands Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively Core Responsibilities National Advocacy & Culture Strategy Design and execute annual engagement plans including training, community building, cultural experiences, and education Adapt strategies for different regions based on trade trends and culture Bartender Training & Development Deliver comprehensive training programs from fundamentals to advanced mixology Develop relationships with top bars and influential bartenders World Class Programme Leadership Manage Diageo World Class in Ireland, from recruitment to global stage preparation Utilize World Class for storytelling and talent development Local Advocacy Events & Activations Organize events such as menu labs, socials, workshops, and field trips Innovate in community engagement Festival & Experience-led Culture Coordinate brand education and experiences at festivals and cultural events Partner with marketing teams for activations Digital Influence & Community Building Create digital content strategies for engagement and education Leverage advocacy content across social and CRM platforms Team Leadership Lead and motivate a team of Brand Ambassadors Represent bartender culture within wider teams Operational & Administrative Leadership Manage budgets and performance metrics Collaborate across functions for integrated execution Oversee event and project operations We value diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment where everyone can belong and thrive.
