Title and Summary Lead Systems Platform EngineerJob Description Summary Overview The Shared Components Service Delivery team is looking for a candidate who can help us solve problems, plan and design the footprint of our systems, and lead Mastercard in defining standards and best practices.

Infrastructure Design at Mastercard is a team of Technology Architects responsible for analyzing and designing the infrastructure framework to fit application, platform, or system needs in line with Mastercard's operational standards and engineering principles.

Our team works from the beginning of the analysis and design phase to ensure that infrastructure and application architecture align with Mastercard's security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.

Major Accountabilities for this role : Responsible for gathering requirements, conducting infrastructural analysis, and producing robust designs that adhere to approved Mastercard technologies and security policies.Meet with peers, engineers, application teams, and users to ensure all high-level requirements are met.Generate products such as Technical Architecture Documents, memos, logical flows, and models to keep all stakeholders aligned on architecture and infrastructure layout.Maintain architectural products in their most current state.Implement, manage, and support application infrastructure components following current standards and best practices.Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.Lead and collaborate to define new standards.Research and evaluate new technology for deployment in Mastercard's infrastructure.May lead regional projects, including planning, resource management, and implementation.Contribute to incident / problem diagnosis and root cause analysis.Provide input into performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management.Experiences Exposure to systems architecture, new technologies, industry standards, and best practices.Participation in global technology initiatives.Engagement with business resource groups and global communities.Building relationships within Mastercard.Experience with internal resources and tools.Education (preferred) : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

All About You Advanced knowledge of Web application architecture and project delivery.Understanding of how the Java Virtual Machine works, including garbage collection.Knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls.Understanding of network and operating system principles.Vast knowledge of middleware technologies (Web Servers, Application Servers, Queue Managers, Messaging, Caching).Working knowledge of database and cloud technologies.Knowledge of techniques to achieve non-functional requirements like reliability, security, and performance.Understanding of Role Based Access Control, Authentication, and Authorization mechanisms.Proficiency in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.Skills / Abilities : Leadership and initiative.Detail-oriented and customer-focused.Strong communication skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize.Quick learner of new technologies.Ability to work across geographies.Collaborative skills with cross-functional teams.Provide excellent internal customer service.Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks involve inherent risks.
