Job Title : Bookkeeper (Hospitality Sector Experience Preferred)
Location : Slane, Co Meath
We are currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong IT skills and a solid background in producing monthly management accounts. Previous experience in the hospitality industry would be highly beneficial.
About the Role :
This role is ideal for someone who can take initiative and work independently in a busy office environment, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team. You will be responsible for bookkeeping across a group of independently operated companies, with some overlapping functions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts
- Support directors in financial planning and budgeting
- Identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Main Duties Include :
Data entry and bank reconciliationsInvoicing and cash managementPreparing and filing VAT and PAYE returnsMonitoring budgets and reporting on variancesOpening and maintaining supplier accountsCommunicating with suppliers and internal managersReviewing staff hours with management in line with budgetsGeneral administrative tasks as requiredRequired Skills and Experience :
Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping roleProficiency with Sage or similar accounting softwareStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially ExcelFamiliarity with downloading and reconciling reports from credit card terminals and online booking platformsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage prioritiesStrong verbal communication skillsFor more information please contact me on j.flower@puroassociates.com
