Job description

The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for CT scanning of components and sub-assemblies, as well as generating measuring programs using Calypso and VG Studiomax Software, taking full responsibility from receipt of 2D and 3D files through part programming, scanning, and final reporting.

The role involves supporting root cause investigations, measuring system analysis, shrinkage, and capability studies.

The engineer will collaborate closely with the device design and development team, tooling engineers, program managers, and both internal and external customers as parts progress through design, tooling development, qualification, and validation phases.

Key Responsibilities and End Results : Providing metrology and inspection services primarily using CT scanning.Assisting with root cause investigations for non-conforming parts and assemblies.Supporting projects throughout their lifecycle, from quotation to tooling end-of-life.Generating quotations, invoicing, and archiving data related to CT activities.Documenting activities and presenting reports to customers.Providing technical support to key vendors and subcontractors.Maintaining lab and work areas according to 6S standards.Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory policies.Promoting organizational values and engaging in Lean culture.Supporting engineering technicians on development projects as needed.Seeking continuous personal improvement and applying learned knowledge to drive quality and process improvements.Ensuring 100% compliance with monthly safety procedures training.Adhering to all company policies, especially in safety and regulatory compliance.Supporting quality programs and addressing quality system requirements promptly.Maintaining data integrity and following the Quality Management System strictly.Continuously seeking process improvements and promoting a quality-first mentality.Supporting Lean Manufacturing principles and organizational values.Complying with safety, environmental, and quality policies and taking personal accountability for safety.Performing other duties as assigned to meet evolving company needs.Requirements : Level 6 education with at least 1 year of experience, or a BEng in engineering or STEM, or a similar combination of training and experience.Experience in Metrology is advantageous.Understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.Knowledge of plastic injection molding is beneficial.Strong documentation skills with clear, concise reporting using objective evidence.Excellent communication skills for report presentation and stakeholder interaction.Good analytical reasoning, technical problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and sound technical judgment based on data.
