Job Description
On behalf of an Aviation client in north Dublin, we are looking to hire a Tax Manager.
This is a broad, hands-on role with significant responsibility across direct and indirect tax compliance, advisory, and project work.
The successful candidate will oversee relationships with Big 4 advisors, manage group corporate tax compliance, and provide tax input into M&A activity, intercompany financing arrangements, and international structuring.
Key Responsibilities :
Tax Compliance & Oversight
- Manage and review corporate tax returns across the group, primarily prepared by Big 4 outsourced providers, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential risks or gaps.
- Maintain a robust tax calendar and ensure timely submission of all filings across jurisdictions.
- Oversee VAT compliance across relevant European entities, including review of filings and coordination with finance teams and external advisors.
M&A and Corporate Structuring
Provide tax support on M&A transactions (acquisitions and disposals), including tax due diligence, structuring advice, and post-deal integration.Intercompany Financing & Transfer Pricing
Monitor and advise on intercompany loans, interest deductibility, and compliance with international tax standards.Work with external advisors to maintain up-to-date and compliant transfer pricing documentation.Tax Risk Management
Review technical memos and tax positions prepared by advisors with a critical eye.Maintain group tax risk registers and support internal and external audit queries.Candidate Profile :
Qualified Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and / or Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA).Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally a mix of Big 4 practice and in-house experience.Strong knowledge of Irish and international corporate tax matters.Demonstrated experience managing third-party tax advisors and reviewing outsourced work.Exposure to M&A transactions and intercompany funding arrangements.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-know aviation group with multiple business streams.
