Position Summary : The Medical Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling a portfolio of surgical instruments and capital medical equipment to public and private hospitals across the Leinster region. The role involves relationship-building with healthcare professionals, developing sales strategies, managing the sales cycle, and providing product education and support. Key Responsibilities : Manage and grow sales across the assigned territory, focusing on surgical and capital equipment. Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, nurses, procurement teams, and other stakeholders. Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs as set by the Sales Manager. Conduct product demonstrations, clinical evaluations, and training for customers. Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect for new customers. Maintain accurate records in CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and provide regular reports on activity and pipeline. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy. Attend surgeries, exhibitions, and training sessions as required. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Requirements : 2+ years of successful sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, ideally with surgical or capital equipment. Proven track record of achieving sales targets. Strong knowledge of hospital procurement processes and healthcare sales cycles in Ireland. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills. Full clean drivers license and willingness to travel extensively within the region. Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite. Clinical background or qualification (e.g. nursing, biomedical science) is a plus.
