Responsibilities :
- Oversee the operational and commercial performance of the structures team, reporting to senior management.
- Lead and mentor a group of structural engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Ensure design deliverables consistently meet rigorous quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with project teams, clients, stakeholders, and external consultants to deliver integrated solutions.
- Manage team resources, delegate tasks, and monitor project budgets to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to support multi-disciplinary project delivery.
- Support recruitment efforts as the team expands.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Contribute to business development activities, including the preparation of tenders and bids. Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or higher) in engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status, or recognised equivalent accreditation.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of technical excellence.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
- Proven ability to deliver projects under pressure and meet client deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing and developing teams.
