Senior Energy Manager

Senior Energy Manager Location : Blanchardstown Duration : Permanent Hours - 40 hours per week Overview of the role; The successful candidate will drive technical excellence and innovation across new project development opportunities from identification through to costing and delivery, including technologies / systems such as biomethane, 5G district heating and cooling systems, data centre heat recovery, ammonia stacked heat pump solutions, biomass and the decarbonisation of multi-site private and public sector campuses. The candidate will work alongside their Veolia team members locally and subject matter experts globally, to secure new contracts and support the delivery of projects along with the implementation team focussing on the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences and data centre sectors amongst others. Some international travel may also be required. The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to shape how Veolia meets our customers' decarbonisation and utility needs into the future, and positively influence the necessary ecological transformation that our planet desperately needs. Day to day of the role : Drive innovation in project identification and delivery, and internally through systems and team performance. Lead projects from a technical and techno-economic (e.g. costs, savings, payback, financial model, revenue streams, Veolia and client risks etc) perspective. Manage and have direct line management responsibility for individuals and / or teams. Identification, analysis, design, costing and project management of energy conservation and decarbonisation projects Performing in-depth investment grade audits, producing revenue and energy savings projection models Originating project development plans and drafting contract scopes of work for tendering exercises Defining performance specifications for equipment supplier and contractors Carrying out tender evaluations and contract negotiations Support the implementation team with the development of project schedules and budgets Support existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long term energy reductions A flexible working nature, the ability to drive to Veolia sites throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and an excellent client-facing nature is a must. Required skills for this role : Degree in Engineering or Building Services, or equivalent professional experience 5 + years' experience in a similar technical role Energy system design e.g. mechanical system P&ID concept design development and optimisation Knowledge and experience in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting and energy modelling through life cycle and capital cost / benefits analysis.
