Relief Childcare Practitioner (18 hours per week)Location : Dublin, Inchicore
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Childcare Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team.
Our Children's Project, which includes a preschool and afterschool service, cares for socially excluded, marginalised children and families impacted by addiction.

Salary : This salary for this position will be paid every four weeks and is €16 per hour.
Role : – To support the lead practitioners for our preschool and afterschool services.
To provide support to children and families struggling with addiction.
To develop and implement programmes that respond to the needs of children and families in the service working in partnership with families and other organisational, community and voluntary bodies.
Shift Criteria : – The role requires the practitioner to work 18 hrs per week
The weekly shifts of this practitioner will include 4 shifts of 4.5 hours (9 : 00 – 13 : 30)
The practitioner will need to be somewhat flexible and may need to cover in the room for a full day ( 9 : 00 – 4 : 30pm) from time to time but will be given notice for such events
Essential Criteria : – A minimum of 2 years' experience of working with children and families.
A minimum QQI level 6 qualification in childcare or equivalent.
Experience of working with preschool and school-aged children.
Experience of working in partnership with families and carers.
Experience of planning, implementing, and reviewing programmes with children and / or families.
Good knowledge of quality frameworks such as Aistear and Síolta.
The applicant must have a passion for working with children and excellent team working skills.
Have a calm and compassionate approach to managing challenging behaviours.
Desirable Criteria : – A minimum of 2 years' experience of working with vulnerable children and families.
Certificate or good knowledge of The High Scope Approach
