Role Description This dynamic disability service provides clinical supports and residential services to children with complex disability needs and their families. Successful candidates will join family-centred, interdisciplinary teams with excellent access to supervision and peer support. The role involves working as part of an Interdisciplinary Team delivering services to children and young people (018 years) with complex needs, in partnership with families within a family-centred model. The CDNM will lead the ongoing development of childrens disability services within a designated area, in line with national policy. They are responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, integrated services to the population of a Community Healthcare Network, in accordance with legislative frameworks and allocated resources. Essential Requirements : A relevant professional qualification in an Allied Health or Nursing Professional Grade, registered or eligible for registration with CORU or NMBI. Minimum of five years post-qualification experience, including three years in delivering or managing childrens disability therapeutic services. Demonstrated track record of successful and innovative leadership. Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the role. Knowledge of relevant national policies, especially Progressing Disability Services for Children & Young People and National Access Policy. Understanding of best practice in childrens disability services, including interdisciplinary working and family-centred practice. Knowledge of social care provision, Children First, FOI, GDPR, Disability Act, and other relevant legislation. Evidence of strong planning and organisational skills, including resource management and budgeting. Ability to improve efficiency and adapt within a rapidly changing environment. Capacity to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities. Proven ability to operate successfully in a challenging operational environment while maintaining quality standards. Strong skills in information evaluation, decision making, leadership, teamwork, communication, and service quality. Desirable : Experience designing and delivering quality initiatives in healthcare.
