JOB TITLE Accommodation SupervisorRESONSIBLE TO General Manager & Accommodation ManagerTHE ROLE Key management position in the Hotel, requiring interaction with managers from all Departments.
To ensure the cleanliness of bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas and to promote a positive image to both customers and colleaguesMAIN DUTIES To ensure the efficient running of the Accommodation DepartmentTo ensure high standards are maintained both in bedrooms and ground floor areasTo be responsible for the routine checking of bedrooms / public areasTo manage and control all costs, direct and indirectTo manage and delegate duties to Accommodation Assistants in a professional mannerTo manage, motivate and lead the accommodation teamTo manage and control stock levels and ensure efficiencies are achievedTo manage staff roster efficiently in the absence of the Accommodation ManagerTo organise training and assist in the recruitment of staff for the Department, ensuring attention to manpower planningTo ensure a good working relationship is achieved with Managers / Heads of Departments and staffTo attend and contribute at weekly Heads of Department meetingsTo carry out Hotel's Customer Relations policyTo ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health & Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premisesTo carry out fire and accident drillsTo observe all safety rules and proceduresTo check with management before implementing work practice changesTo implement changes and improvements as directed by managementTo aim to continue to improve standards as guests expectations increaseAny other duties as directed by the ManagementThis job description is neither definitive nor restrictive and may be modified occasionally to meet the changing needs of the business.
HOURS OF WORK Your Normal working week will be 5 days over a 7-day roster.
The weekly roster includes weekend work.TENURE OF EMPLOYMENT These posts may be full time or part timeQUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 2-3 years experience as a supervisor in a busy hotel property.Should be motivated team player with excellent organisational and people management skills.Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.Ensure customer service and hospitality levels are kept to an exceptional level.Excellent planning and organisational skills.
