ATG are seeking a Hydrogeologist to join a fast-growing Dublin-based team.
You will be responsible for assessing groundwater resources, conducting hydrogeological surveys, and developing models to support sustainable water management.
Key tasks include : Groundwater Assessment : Conduct site investigations, groundwater sampling, and hydrogeological modeling to assess aquifer properties and groundwater flow.Data Analysis : Analyze hydrogeological data using specialized software to assess water quality, pollution risks, and aquifer sustainability.Field Work : Perform groundwater monitoring, borehole drilling oversight, aquifer testing, and environmental sampling.Project Management : Assist in the design and management of hydrogeological and environmental projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.Reporting : Prepare detailed technical reports, including data interpretation, groundwater models, and risk assessments.
Present findings to clients and stakeholders.Environmental Impact Assessments : Support environmental teams in preparing hydrogeological input for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), and planning applications.Consultation and Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure water resource projects meet legal and sustainability requirements.Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all work complies with local and EU regulations related to groundwater protection, waste management, and environmental sustainability.Requirements : Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field.Experience in groundwater modeling and site investigations.Knowledge of Irish water regulations.Strong analytical and communication skills.
