Role Overview We are seeking a results-driven and service-orientated Events Officer tosupport, manage and help deliver exceptional internal and external events. The successful candidate will bring industry knowledge and experience, acting as a key liaison and relationship manager for both internal and external stakeholders and clients. This is a varied and dynamic role with responsibilities across diary management, client account handling, MICE sales, and event communications. The ideal candidate will be commercially focused, proactive, flexible, and highly organised, with strong data management skills and a commitment to working in a fast-paced environment. Role Context The Events Officer role will be part of the Central Events Office within the Commercial Department of Trinity. Reporting to the Event Manager, this role contributes to the generation of events-driven revenue, which is reinvested into Trinity College Dublin to support the academic mission of the University and fund development projects and conservation programmes. The Events Officer plays a key role in managing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events) operations, and driving growth across Central Events. Core Responsibilities Manage client enquiries and bookings, including venue viewings, and event coordination through to final invoice Identify and act on opportunities for cross-selling and upselling events services, and with other departments to maximise revenue Serve as the central liaison between client and College stakeholders, ensuring high standards of service delivery Accurately record and share event information, through KX and CMIS software Compile essential documentation, including Event Management Plans, Method Statements, and Health and Safety information (Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work) Host familiarisation and site inspection visits for potential group decision makers Support the Events Manager and Events team Support the Enquiries Office where required Support the Head of Central Events and other team members as necessary and undertake such other duties or projects that may be required by the Head of Central Events Experience & Skills Required Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial events role, with proven knowledge across meetings, conferences, or related sectors Strong customer focus and confidence in managing end-to-end events, from lead generation to delivery Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, service-oriented or hospitality environment Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and remain calm under pressure Proven project management skills with the ability to work autonomously across multiple projects and meet tight deadlines High level of proficiency in IT systems, including CRM and event or hospitality software Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral Team player who is keen to succeed Collaborative and works well building relationships externally and internally Energetic and entrepreneurial, with a reputation for getting things done Skills : Organisational Skills IT skills Interpersonal Skills communication skills.
