Food Service Assistant (Kitchen Porter with Food Handling)

Join our dynamic catering team at St Columba’s College!
We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to support the smooth running of our school kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for great service and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities :
Manual pot washing and use of commercial dishwasher
Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and service areas to high standards
Receiving and storing deliveries
Basic food handling and preparation
Serving food with a friendly and professional manner
Assisting with school events, including occasional evenings and weekends
Completing cleaning and food safety records
Ensuring food safety and allergen protocols are followed

Self-motivated with a strong sense of pride in your work
Good interpersonal skills and team spirit
Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
