Shape Futures. Join New Directions!  We're hiring passionate individuals for the role of Team Manager to guide a team to empower adults with disabilities!

The Role :

New Directions Team Manager | Full time | Specified Purpose Contract

The Purpose :

To provide leadership and be responsible for the delivery of high quality and person-centred day supports and services within New Directions standards through the use of social role valorisation.

Essential :

The successful candidate will :

Possess either a QQI Level 7 or above in Social Care / Applied Social Studies or related field; a qualification in Supported Employment, or a Nursing qualification

Approved CORU Registration

Have experience of working with people with learning / intellectual disabilities

Possess knowledge of developments in HSE New Directions Standards and social role valorisation

Have experience in managerial / supervisory roles

Possess a full clean driver's licence and have own car

Have excellent I.T. skills and willingness to adapt to new ICT systems

Desirable :

Good leadership ability and team building skills

Possession of a recognised management qualification is an advantage

Possess good organisational, administrative and computer skills

Strong skills in networking and promoting community inclusion and social outcomes

Experience in and commitment to developing supports that are person-centred

Cheeverstown is an organisation dedicated to enhaving the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. We provide a wide range of person centred services including residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area.

Salary will be paid in line with the Social Care Leader scale as per the HSE consolidated payscales.
