Product Development Specialist - German Market Location : Dublin or Market-Based | Industry : Insurance | Language Requirement : Native German, Fluent English A leading international insurance company is seeking a Product Development Specialist to join its growing Commercial Division, focused on the German and Austrian markets. This is a key role in shaping innovative product propositions and enhancing an extensive insurance product portfolio. You must be fluent in German, as the position is focussed on developing insurance products & solutions for the German & Austrian Markets. Key Responsibilities : Develop and enhance insurance products for the German and Austrian markets. Draft, review, and manage policy wordings and customer-facing documentation (T&Cs, IPIDs, certificates, etc.) ensuring both clarity and technical accuracy. Propose and implement product improvements and changes to strengthen market offerings. Lead internal processes for documentation standards and technical content improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design product concepts, prepare briefs, and support product lifecycle management. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to inform product development. Prepare internal documentation for product sign-offs and present findings to senior stakeholders. Provide technical expertise to support sales, marketing, and training efforts. Contribute to overall product strategy, innovation, and regulatory alignment. Key Skills & Experience Sought : Native-level German with fluent English (both written and spoken). Strong background in insurance product development (life or non-life). Proven experience drafting and managing insurance policy documents and customer materials. Familiarity with insurance regulation and compliance in Germany and / or Austria. Strong command of MS Office; experience with Adobe InDesign is an advantage. Analytical thinker with high attention to detail. Comfortable presenting complex information clearly to stakeholders. Able to manage deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
