The Role We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Head of Legal & Compliance to join the Dublin-based leadership team.

This individual will play a key role in overseeing all legal and regulatory matters across the business, providing trusted counsel to senior stakeholders, and leading the company's approach to compliance, governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities Act as the primary legal advisor to the business, offering strategic guidance across a broad range of legal matters including commercial contracts, competition, employment, marketing, IP, and regulatory compliance.

Lead the compliance function, ensuring alignment with relevant laws and industry standards, including GDPR, anti-bribery, health and safety, and product regulations.

Partner with senior leadership to support business growth, product innovation, and operational resilience.

Manage and negotiate complex commercial agreements and strategic transactions.

Oversee legal risk and provide practical, business-friendly solutions to support operational and commercial teams.

Maintain strong relationships with external legal counsel and regulators.

Develop and implement legal and compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.

Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects involving legal, risk, governance, and sustainability themes.

Build and mentor a small legal & compliance team, fostering a proactive and collaborative culture.

About You Qualified solicitor (Ireland or UK), with 8+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained in both private practice and an in-house environment.

Experience in FMCG, retail, or a similarly regulated, fast-paced industry preferred.

Strong generalist legal background, with particular strengths in commercial contracts, compliance, and corporate governance.

Proven ability to operate at a senior level, influencing stakeholders and providing clear, confident advice in a complex business environment.

Comfortable working autonomously in a lean legal function with hands-on involvement.

Pragmatic, commercial, and solutions-focused.

Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
