    Overview

    The Operations Manager for our Network Solutions Ireland Business is responsible for leading a team of Network engineers and Support centre services professionals who are dedicated to delivering a project or service to Onnec’s customers. The role includes improving efficiency, productivity and quality whilst delivering in line with budget requirements in a safe and fully compliant working environment.

    The role will work very closely with the Sales team and Engineering team and will report direct to the Country Operations Manager to ensure the operational focus and delivery of strategies, process and procedures are fully aligned across Onnec.

    What you’ll be doing as our Network Solutions Operations Manager :

    • Develop and implement the overall operational strategy in alignment with the Onnec goals and objectives.
    • Drive initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the department
    • Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and implement necessary changes.
    • Manage the integration of our systems, tooling, monitoring etc through the adoption of Halo and other Managed Services platforms.
    • Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel, technology, and materials.
    • Ensure resources are used effectively to achieve business objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
    • Ensure our Operations Centre Team members and Field Engineers are fully utilised in the most efficient way including the best practice with the utilisation of our Timesheet System
    • Develop and manage budgets for operational departments.
    • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure operational success.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.
    • Ensure operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational activities.
    • Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
    • Oversee the implementation and integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Stay updated with technological advancements and recommend relevant tools and systems.
    • What we’re looking for in our Network Solutions Operations Manager :

    • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide teams.
    • Ability to develop and implement effective strategies that align with business goals.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with data analysis to make informed decisions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
    • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management.
    • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and a history of implementing operational efficiencies.
    • Proven experience in managing projects from inception to completion.
    • Ability to adapt to changing business environments and drive continuous improvement.
    • Familiarity with business management software and technological tools used in operations.
    • Bachelor’s degree desirable along with experience in business administration, management, operations, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in Operations Management, preferably in the same network solution project delivery and managed services.
    • An understanding of one (or more) of the following manufacturer product sets – Aruba HPE and Fortinet
