Role Summary We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Quality Control Coordinator to oversee operations during the evening shift. This is a hands-on supervisory role ensuring that all yard activities are carried out in an efficient, safe, and organised manner. You will be responsible for supervising dispatch operations, maintaining yard housekeeping standards, and ensuring machinery maintenance schedules are followed. Key Responsibilities Oversee quality control during the evening shift (11 : 30am8 : 00pm Mon-Thurs). (Friday - Flexi) Check and sign off all loads leaving the yard, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Complete and file all necessary delivery paperwork and dispatch documentation. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and safety across the yard. Monitor the maintenance schedule for all plant and machinery, ensuring timely reporting of any issues. Liaise with internal departments to coordinate yard activities. Ensure adherence to company health and safety procedures. Support and lead by example in building a strong team-oriented culture on shift. Candidate Requirements Proven experience in a similar yard, logistics or supervisory role (steel or construction industry preferred). Strong organisational and communication skills. Attention to detail, particularly when managing documentation and dispatch records. Ability to drive quality control standards and productivity on shift. Familiarity with forklift and combilift operations (valid tickets an advantage). Understanding of health & safety practices in a busy industrial yard. Proactive, hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.
