Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist - County Louth - 12-Month Contract

Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies and procedures.
- Coordinate environmental controls and ensure compliance with IPC license.
- Ensure records are maintained. Generate reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with external EHS Agencies e.g., EPA. Ensure compliance with all environmental licenses for the facility.
- Coordinate site environmental waste management and drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Battery, WEEE and Waste Packaging Directives for Europe.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
- Implement and update EHS control procedures as required.
- Develop training programmes and provide training on EHS.
Requirements :
Degree in Science, Engineering and / or health & Safety is required (Level 8).Postgraduate in Health & Safety as a minimum (Level 9)Related pharmaceutical / biosafety industry experience – is required and experience working within a regulatory environment is required.Demonstrate experience in managing EHS Teams either within the Department or as part of a program initiative.Leading Root Cause investigations.Attention to detail and sound scientific problem solving will be fundamental to this role with experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role in a manufacturing or process industry.Have a strategic mindset, seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.If this role is of interest to you, please apply now!
