Senior Environmental Engineer

A leading Irish consultancy is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join their growing Circular Economy and Environmental team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary firm delivering projects across waste management, energy recovery, environmental infrastructure, and sustainable resource solutions.

The role is ideally suited to candidates with a background in civil or environmental engineering and at least 4 / 5 years of relevant experience. Based in North Dublin, this position offers long-term career progression opportunities, including the potential to move into a Principal Engineer role.

Key Responsibilities :

The main responsibilities of the Senior Environmental Engineer are to :

Manage the planning and execution of design work and CAD documentation alongside project engineers and technicians.

Attend and participate in site and client meetings.

Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Management Systems.

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate deliverables with other internal departments and external consultants.

Essential Requirements :

Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.

Minimum of 4 / 5 years’ post-graduate professional experience.

Demonstrated project management capabilities.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Full, clean driving licence.

Desirable Experience :

Design experience related to anaerobic digestion facilities, waste infrastructure, or public realm projects.

Previous involvement in solid waste, bio-waste, or sludge management projects.
