Job description

I am looking for a German-speaking Underwriter / Claims Assessor who will specialize in applications for Life and Serious Illness product and claims assessments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Making accurate and timely decisions that align with company’s underwriting and claims guidelines, ensuring applications are assessed to a high standard.
  • Managing and resolving any challenges to decisions by clearly explaining the reasons behind them.
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers and advisers.
  • Promoting quality within the team by identifying errors, analysing root causes to prevent recurrence
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Consistently acting with integrity and maintaining a positive, proactive attitude.

Your Skillset and Experience

  • Fluency in written and spoken German (essential).
  • A couple od years of market experience with underwriting authority for life or serious illness, or relevant risk claims experience; alternatively, a medical qualification such as nursing.
  • A relevant business or industry qualification, or a medical degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and workload
  • Salary and Benefits

  • Strong base salary, depending on experience, between 65, and 73, per annum

  • Initial training period mainly office base, hybrid afterwards
