The Role :

Join our dynamic team at The Irish Times Group as an Ad Operations Executive and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital advertising landscape.

We are looking for a highly motivated digital advertising operations executive to join our team. The individual will be responsible for the effective setup, management and reporting of digital display and native advertising across multiple sites within The Irish Times Group.

The qualified individual must be able to consistently provide a high level of service, have at least 1 year of experience in digital advertising and enjoy delivering to tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must as you will regularly liaise with a variety of individuals both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Trafficking, monitoring, and optimising digital advertising campaigns across all Irish Times Group digital platforms, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for creative assets, liaising with advertisers and agencies to secure materials and troubleshoot issues to guarantee campaign launches remain on schedule.
  • Provide regular campaign performance updates through screenshots and detailed reports to internal sales teams and clients, ensuring transparency and actionable insights.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to review campaign progress, address delivery challenges, and recommend optimisations for ongoing and future campaigns.
  • Run and distribute inventory availability checks to support sales planning and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain competitive analysis reports to inform sales and campaign strategy, tracking key trends and market activity.
  • Support the publishing executive in the promotion and reporting of native advertising campaigns, ensuring seamless integration with broader campaign objectives.
  • Assist with trade marketing activities as required by wider Media Solutions team.

Skills and Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working with DFP / Google Ad Manager.
  • High degree of numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and the role of programmatic advertising
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and advertiser side ad systems is beneficial.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work as an individual and within a team
