Experienced IT Recruitment Consultant @ RECRUITERS This leading retail group is undergoing a major digital transformation programme, transitioning away from legacy systems and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central .

They are seeking an experienced ERP professional to work closely with the senior leadership team (SLT) to oversee the implementation of MS Business Central.

The Head of ERP will manage a small internal team along with external vendors, ensuring the project is delivered on schedule and within budget.

This project is expected to run for approximately 18 months.

Following implementation, the role will evolve into operations, maintaining and optimising the ERP system and supporting new projects to align with evolving strategic objectives and business processes.

The role will also involve leading cross-functional project teams to deliver on business goals from an ERP perspective.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dublin City Centre, with occasional national travel.

Key Responsibilities Act as the primary internal resource overseeing the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Collaborate with external implementation partners to ensure a smooth transition.

Work closely with business units to gather, document, and prioritise requirements.

Configure and customise the ERP system to meet business needs.

Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements or customisations to maximise the effectiveness of the ERP system.

Identify areas requiring additional development or integration and clearly communicate requirements to developers and stakeholders.

Manage project timelines, milestones, and internal deliverables to ensure alignment with overall objectives.

Lead data migration activities, including master data, transactional data, and historical records.

Analyse existing data, identify data cleansing opportunities, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Provide end-user training and support during and post-implementation.

Monitor system performance and proactively address issues post go-live.

Develop and manage a comprehensive ERP project plan, covering timelines, resources, and budget.

Identify and engage key stakeholders, managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate activities between internal teams and external vendors / consultants.

Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.

Oversee ERP installation, configuration, and integration with existing systems.

Execute testing plans to validate system performance against business requirements.

Manage change across the business, ensuring user adoption, communication, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Analyse business processes to identify opportunities for optimisation and automation.

Maintain alignment between ERP system functionality and business needs.

Manage third-party vendors, including contract negotiation and service level agreements.

Additional Responsibilities Develop and manage ERP project timelines and budgets.

Configure and maintain ERP systems in line with business requirements.

Deliver training and ongoing support for ERP users.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance ERP effectiveness.

Oversee ERP integration with other systems and ensure accurate data migration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.

Identify and mitigate risks related to ERP implementation.

Stay up to date on the latest ERP trends and technologies.

Supervise, support, and develop the ERP Business Systems Analyst.

Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Education, Experience & Personal Characteristics Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

Strong technical and functional understanding of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a manufacturing or retail setting.

Proven experience managing ERP implementations and support projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource management.

Experience with third-party integrations such as Insight Works (Warehouse Management), Power BI, Jet Reports, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Sana Commerce, Shopify).

Ability to mentor and collaborate with ERP Business Systems Analysts and cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to optimise business processes and practices through ERP solutions.

Experience with ERP system integration and data migration, with a focus on data accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a business-focused mindset.

Understanding of ERP best practices, compliance standards, and change management processes.

Highly organised and detail-oriented, with excellent negotiation and report-writing skills.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation.

95,000 to 110,00 base salary Dublin City Centre – Fully Onsite Full-time | Competitive salary | National travel as needed
