Temporary Clerical Officer Public Sector Location : Dublin City Centre (Hybrid) Duration : 6-month temporary contract Start Date : Immediate start required We are currently recruiting Temporary Clerical Officers on behalf of a prominent public sector organisation based in Dublin 2. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, professional environment. The ideal candidate will hold a minimum Level 7 qualification and have at least one year of office administration experience in a professional services setting. This role combines administrative responsibilities with customer service tasks and requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and managing correspondence. Process, audit, and examine documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Handle large volumes of data entry and validation. Serve as a point of contact for public and internal queries via phone, email, and in person. Provide secretarial support for meetings, including minute-taking when required. Maintain accurate records and files using internal systems. Support reception duties such as operating the switchboard, greeting visitors, and logging post / cheques. Assist supervisors and team members as needed to ensure smooth operations. Work collaboratively as part of a team delivering high-quality services. Complete routine financial and accounts-related tasks. Essential Requirements To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria : Minimum of one years experience in a clerical or administrative role. Level 7 (or higher) qualification. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently. Team-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality work. Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
